Kermode Bear

Snowed Pinecones

In a moss-draped rain forest in British Columbia, towering red cedars live a thousand years, and black bears are born with white fur. Kermode Bear (ursus americans kermodei), also known as the “Spirit Bear,” is not an albino, but a rare subspecies of the black bear. A double recessive gene gives it a white or cream coloured coat like a polar bear. The Kermode Bear resides in the Great Bear Rainforest of coastal BC and is the official provincial mammal of British Columbia

Each scent note within our Botanical series evokes the delicate beauty of West Coast pristine flora and fauna. From scintillating alpine meadows, through the luxurious tones of wild raspberry, to the aromatic rose and the resinous pine cone , the earthy and faintly sweet bark resin of snowed pinecones gathering with hues of lavender all wrapped in peony and magnolia seduced by the pink florets of a fireweed
